Hello my Friend!
Why OH why don’t I learn my lesson and groom the pups EVERY month when I say I’m going to? The last time I did haircuts, I skimped and only did their faces and bodies–and left the legs (they’re the most time consuming part)…well, it caught up to me. These gorilla cockers were HAIRY monsters…
Before and After….
Notice the size of Wrigley’s paws and you can really see how different Goose’s face looks afterwards haha…

They are super excited about their Spring haircuts.

Forgot to trim those crazy eyelashes…

I’m deliriously happy…

Do I look like a puppy again? Note: Gooser will be FIVE in May, but if you ask her, she’s about ONE =)

Usually the best photo-subject–she was refusing to look at me….is someone becoming stubborn?

Scram….I’m sunbathing and my gray hair is fabulous.

The flowers smell good today.

I wonder how much money I’ve saved in over eight years of grooming them myself (that would be 8+ years for Wrigley and double duty for 5 years when Goose came along)? I’m actually using the same clippers and attachments that I initially bought back in the day–(maybe it’s time for an upgrade now that I think about it), a metal comb, nail clippers and a good ol pair of scissors. Hmmm…at an average of approximately $50 per haircut, each, every month, I’m guessing the total saved is about $5000 on Wrigley and $3000 on Goose. WHAT??!!!
That’s amazing. I rock. Remind me to stick to the chop-chop schedule though, because being lazy and waiting any longer adds at least an extra hour to the already hour and a half process. Wrigs has super thick, curly fur all over and Goose’s stays pretty straight and is definitely not as thick.
This is them saying, “no sympathy, it’s your fault, you should’ve done it weeks ago….”

Such sweet faces. If those eyes could talk….
