Chop Chop

Hello my Friend!

Why OH why don’t I learn my lesson and groom the pups EVERY month when I say I’m going to?  The last time I did haircuts, I skimped and only did their faces and bodies–and left the legs (they’re the most time consuming part)…well, it caught up to me.  These gorilla cockers were HAIRY monsters…

Before and After….

Notice the size of Wrigley’s paws and you can really see how different Goose’s face looks afterwards haha…

They are super excited about their Spring haircuts.

Forgot to trim those crazy eyelashes…

IMG_3525

I’m deliriously happy…

IMG_3529

Do I look like a puppy again?  Note:  Gooser will be FIVE in May, but if you ask her, she’s about ONE =)

IMG_3528

Usually the best photo-subject–she was refusing to look at me….is someone becoming stubborn?

IMG_3531

Scram….I’m sunbathing and my gray hair is fabulous.

The flowers smell good today.

I wonder how much money I’ve saved in over eight years of grooming them myself (that would be 8+ years for Wrigley and double duty for 5 years when Goose came along)?  I’m actually using the same clippers and attachments that I initially bought back in the day–(maybe it’s time for an upgrade now that I think about it), a metal comb, nail clippers and a good ol pair of scissors.  Hmmm…at an average of approximately $50 per haircut, each, every month, I’m guessing the total saved is about $5000 on Wrigley and $3000 on Goose.  WHAT??!!!

That’s amazing.  I rock.  Remind me to stick to the chop-chop schedule though, because being lazy and waiting any longer adds at least an extra hour to the already hour and a half process.  Wrigs has super thick, curly fur all over and Goose’s stays pretty straight and is definitely not as thick.

This is them saying, “no sympathy, it’s your fault, you should’ve done it weeks ago….”

Such sweet faces.  If those eyes could talk….

Green Beads

Hello my Friend!  Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you!

I found a couple of old beads in the garage, so you know what that meant…

Wrigley was sad that Goose hogged the beads…

IMG_3341

Not the most cooperative photo subject…

IMG_3318

THE best photo-shoot subject in the world!  That face kills me.

Here comes the barking from Goose.

IMG_3345

The moment I mentioned a “treat”.  That’s kind of a smile haha.

This is about as exciting as my St. Patrick’s Day is getting and that’s fine with me.  I worked a wedding yesterday and I am so SORE.  It was like running a marathon.  I’ll tell you about that next…

Happy Green Beer Day!!

80s Fur

Hello my Friend!

We’ve had pretty awesome weather around here lately.  It’s been around 80 (sorry to my Midwest peeps). BUT—this weekend it’s supposed to be in the 50′s and 60′s and my parents are coming in town.  ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!  I mean, I know it will be better than what they’re used to, but still-why can’t it be 80 degrees for them?  Rude.  We’re still going to the beach-maybe not to lay out, but to walk and watch the sunset at least…

The girls and I were chilling on the patio the other day and I snapped some cute pics of those furry faces.  Look at those emotional eyes, gorgeous…..

Gooser looks so sweet and innocent here (hard to believe-seeing as how at this exact moment that I’m typing this she is barking her head off and trying to attack the dog on TV).

How does their fur grow so fast???  I swear I just gave them haircuts….

Bestill my heart.

Can you even believe things this cute exist in the world?

I’m going to go smush them with kisses….byyyyyye.

Tree Scratcher

Hello my Friend!

Well, we schlepped it to the woods and chopped down our Christmas tree last night!!!  Just kidding—we live in Florida people…but, I wish we could’ve done that.  We went to our trusty tree tent in the neighborhood.

Taaaa–daaaaa….there’s our guy.

Img_4717

It was my passenger….

Img_4719

I love it when they wrap the tree.  Sooooo much easier.

Img_4721

Cut off the netting and boom…

Img_4722

We realized that in this new spot in the house we could’ve gotten a 10ft. tree (but, wow, trees are expensive).  Maybe next year.  After it was set up and straight we looked over and Goose was the first to check it out.  She became Goose-a-saurus.  She does this with the curtains, blankets hanging off the couch, your pants, etc.  I call her Goose-a-saurus Rex because she looks like those old-school mechanical dinosaurs.

Here she goes…..

Img_4727

Suuuuuuuper slow motion…..

Img_4728

Get in there and scratch your head….

Img_4729

Now your back….

Img_4731

It is hilarious.  She circled the tree doing this 4 times.

Img_4732

Can’t wait for the branches to fall so we can get to decorating.  Love that smell!!

Img_4738

Oh–this was the Goose earlier in the day—getting in trouble.  Look at that face….gotta love her (and that’s pretty much why she gets away with so much haha).
