The day after returning from Phoenix, I was co-hosting a baby shower for one of my good friends/neighbors, Angela. She’s having identical twin girls!!! So exciting. Rocio and I had multiple meetings (a.k.a. wine and brainstorming) coming up with the perfect theme and decor. I was dying to make all of the decorations and put my creative skills to work (remember my Yellow Button Envy business?). The theme was Butterflies and Babies. The nursery is decorated with big butterflies on the ceiling in purple, yellow and aqua–so, we knew that was the direction we were heading in.
We made the invitations and

It was a gorgeous Florida day.

Yes, I wore a VERY colorful dress for the occasion!
And then we were ready for a fab day…

We made her necklaces to wear..
They were wood cutouts from Joannes,
that we just painted and decorated with stickers.
I made separate banners for both girls–
so Angela could use them down the road if she wanted.

everyone to get creative with…

I was so excited to do my fruit cups!
Since we were having cake,
I didn’t want to also do cupcakes,
but I really wanted to make toppers, so fruit cups it was.
I just topped them with a
Marshmellow Fluff, sour cream mix.
Delicious!
We had such a great day talking about the twin’s arrival..
I made Bingo sheets for everyone.
Before Angela opened her gifts,
everyone had to fill in the squares with items
they THOUGHT she was going to get.
As she opened them, you mark off the
ones she receives that you guessed.
It was really fun and a good way to get
everyone involved at “gift time” haha..
So cute when she got double everything,

More people were putting their
wishes and advice on the tree…
The cake was so good!! Raspberry filling.
The decorators took it upon themselves
to put some pink on the cake (instead of aqua)–
I guess knowing it was for girls they just assumed pink would also work haha…
they didn’t know that pink was banned from this shower =)
The little butterflies on it were fab.
And the onesies were SUPER adorable!!!
Everyone was so impressive with their skills…
Since it was close to Halloween,
I just had to throw in some candy at some point.
So, these were the favor gifts…
I had the best time planning and being involved with the shower–
now, it’s just time to meet the girls!!!!
